Hi my name is Catherine and I have had chickens for Maybe a year and I know to keep your coop clean you need to clean it but if you want to keep it clean under your rossts u can make a poop hammock it works so well and I think you can try it to

Hi Catherine and welcome to BYC. Your question may be best answered in the Coop and Run forum. A hammock suggests something made of some kind of fabric - if so, maybe cleaning it could be a bit of a chore

There's a lot of great peeps here! Feel free to ask lots of questions. But most of all, make yourself at home. I'm so glad you decided to join the BYC family. I look forward to seeing you around the run. I personally use straw on the coop itself and sand in the run. I know several members use a board to collect droppings from overnight. That way they can closely monitor the overall health of their chickens.

Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends
