So I guess the pop door will be sufficient- one less thing to do. We live at the top of a hill so we may baffle the run a bit to cut the wind.

Yep, that idea about the hanging plastic strips is a good one, and sure won't hurt anything. I was just stating that you don't have to if you don't want to, and they will still be fine.
