I tried the ice today and the swelling didn't go down. I also noticed her little red areas around her eyes and behind her eyes is looking a little washed out. Now I'm wondering if she isn't hurt but has some infection. Maybe I'll look into getting baytril from somewhere.

How is your chicken doing with the baytril? Any better? I'm on day 3 of giving my hen baytril and her joint is still swollen. I feel like it will take a while to go down now that she has had the infection for so long (I think). Sigh, this is getting tiring...for me and her, poor thing

Quote: She's off Baytril now. Most of the swelling is gone, but there's still a little and she's still pretty lame. Thinking about trying to drain more fluid from it... Will post pictures of the last fluid I drained from it.
