Hello all, I have 2 new chicks, 1 about a day older than the other, the younger one seems to be very tired still (27 hours since hatch), it had a very long 30 hour hatch so I am not suprised its tired, when dry it will be moved into the brooder but should I be concerned right now with how tired it is?

It is able to stand and walk (very unbalanced obviously) but it seems to always trying to sleep by comparison of the other its gaining energy very very slowly.

So once again, should I be worried? its nearly dry enough to move.

I am going to chime in here and try to piggyback off of your comment to maybe get an answer for (both of us?) as this is one of my concerns as well, re: "tired" chick. I received an order of EEs from Meyer Hatchery today. They hatched on Monday. One was DOA (squished in the area where the vital pack is put) but the other 5 made it. One of my chicks looks very "tired" while the others area all running around a bunch.

This is my first time ever getting baby chicks (got 5 four-month old pullets from a friend last summer). My bird is eating and drinking when I put her near food and water, but in between drinks and nibbles she looks like a high school freshman nodding off in math class. Also very unbalanced like OPs chick, Is this normal? Also her eyes look "gunky" and her feathers still look a little "spikey" like they might after hatching.

Should I (we? hat tip to OP) be worried?
