At 6:00pm I was bawling my eyes out, and then the fed ex guy showed up, I said I was afraid he would not come and he said he almost didn't because he was having a bad morning. I said people in the styx still want their stuff!

I'm glad it finally made it!

We really are at the end of a road, and Fedexs has gone down hill, and it is easier for them to say "eh- maybe I do that tomorrow, but it was due on friday that was 5 days. (they say 1-5 lower 48, and 1-7 AK and HI, but mine was 7 days because they drove it by truck from the other side of the country.) I will ask how they are going to ship next time.

Candled my 3 Marans eggs that are on day 18. The one I thought had quit when I looked at day 16 definitely did quit, so I pulled it. The other two we will just have to wait and see if they hatch. One is all darkness and aircell and the other still has some clear space in it, but it’s a large egg. We will see if anything hatches.
I candled the 22 Gypsy Hen eggs that are on day 13. 20/22 still going strong. A Birchen Marans quit, so there are 6 of those left. And 1 Ameraucana quit so 14 of those left, 6 of which are BBS. I’m keeping the BBS Ameraucanas and I think I’ll hold onto the Marans for now until I decide what I’m doing.
I love candling my Gypsy Hen eggs! It’s so exciting to see so many looking great.

I’m trying to go to sleep. It’s raining here. Not hard just your normal kind. My guineas refuse to sleep inside their coop so they sleep in the roosts beneath their coop. They are sooooo loud at night!! I have never heard them be this loud!! It’s not bothering me but I hope my neighbors don’t complain tomorrow. Thankfully they are retired so no waking up early. I think they’re at it because of the rain, or maybe because my window is open I can hear them more clearly than other nights. Now instead of being anxious for my eggs to hatch I’m cringing at how loud they are!

Edited: 6 mins later they are quiet. Hopefully they remain quiet even if it rains again. Good night! I’m a heavy sleeper so I will not know if they go back at it again.

Would I be able to jump in on this? Just put 12 eggs in my new bator, getting some more this week to add to the chaos. Not my first hatch but will be by far my largest! I’ve only ever done 6 at a time in the bator, so this will be interesting!
