Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

I messaged a person on eBay that literally lives within 15 minutes of me and they said they don't do local pick ups...well then I don't buy from sketchy sellers. Road trip it is! lol
Well, truth be told, I really don't like randoms coming to my house. Biosecurity is one thing, but also showing people where you live and what you have is dangerous, IMO. I will meet people places, but basically, unless you're @Mylied there's going to be an interrogation process before anyone shows up to my place. All that to say I don't think disallowing local pick ups is sketchy. It may be a single mom or grandparent types...you just never know. My .02.

Hello all I am new to this so I’m assuming I post about the eggs I’m hatching here?
I have about 20 silkie/ golden Sebright eggs in the incubator and 8 goose eggs!

I’m doing a staggered hatch so 6 of mine are set to hatch on the 11th. I was thinking of moving those other 8 in there with them into my other incubator and using the smaller incubator as a hatching incubator for those 6. Is there any problems with moving the 8 set to hatch later to a different incubator as long as it’s at the correct temp etc?
Shouldn't be any issues as long as temp/humidity stay consistent. Congrats on your bunch~

Welcome! When I have a bunch of eggs incubating expected to hatch on different days I move them to different incubators as needed with no issues. I also have chickens and geese hatching this month! :love

I meet everyone at a public location when I sell chicks. I wasn't trying to peek into their backyard, unless they invite me to, lol, but I guess she could have misunderstood.

My problem is that part of what I like is the hunt and securing the eggs/birds, etc... that's part of the fun to me!! I'll keep select roosters but I'm very choosy about who gets to stay.
I have my two. One was an oops and sexed wrong and his charm is irresistible. The other was literally handed to us and his cute smallness suckered me in.

My husband said yes to a new flock of mini chickens 😝 I'm going to put them in the garden.

I don't like spending money on eggs, chicks, or chickens. I spend money spoiling them, but I prefer free eggs 😂
