I haven't ultrasounded a chicken. Maybe I should try. We have 0 vets that will see chickens so I do all their medical stuff myself. I'll help my local chicken friends too if I can. I have a bs in vet technology that I just finished this summer. Still have to take my licensing exam next month. I'd rather work in a lab than an office though so I think I'm going back to get a masters in animal science. No ones hiring around here either so that's good motivation to go back. I want to learn caponing even though I've heard mixed things about it. I think I'll practice on freshly processed cornish crosses.Nice! Just curious. Lol. I have also played around with the ultrasound here for fun. xD
Wonder if you could use it for crop impactions and such?to get a feel for what’s actually in there. (I keep asking my boss if he would be willing to do all these things with my birds, ultrasound or xray them if they eat something stupid or have a leg issue, etc. He’s been pretty good so far but he drew the line at a vasectomy for my drake. Drat!)
