Cackle is more expensive overall. Meyers I think is different
Meyers for a dozen Light Brahma eggs are 36.04 to ship from them to me in VT so not too bad.

I have a question for everyone so I am not sure if my Polish is a bantam, but she is very small. Her eggs are also quite small so should I put my eggs and lock down on day 16 just in case?

The eggs that she's laying are probably the size of a large quail egg.

When I bought her at the swap the guy was not truly sure if she was a bantam or not, but he thought she was. I can tell you that she is about the same size and weight as HeiHei who is a silver sebright.

I've never owned a regular Polish so I have no idea how big they should be.

It wouldn't hurt anything to. I often lockdown on day 17.
I usually lock down on day 14 for chicken eggs because the last week you really don't need to turn them.

The eggs are really small. I'll take a picture of them right now. I'm not sure what size eggs Polish are supposed to lay, but I'm sure this isn't what Polish are supposed to lay.

Yay! I am a first time home hatcher. All of my babies will be barnyard mixes but I'm still excited to see what we get. My girls are Australorps, BOs, RIR, SLW, and an EE. My leading roo is a Barred Holland. There are "officially" 18 eggs in there but I may have snuck 3 more in when my hubby wasn't looking. I'm most excited, if they hatch, are the mixes between our SLW x Barred roo and the EE x Barred roo.
