Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

Can anyone tell me when white crested polish start laying? I have 2 that will be a year old in April and they aren't laying. They are separated from the rest of the chickens so I know for sure they have never laied.

From the lady I spoke to last month that has a flock of Polish, she said Polish seem to take a longer winter break than some of the other breeds and she didn't expect to have hatching eggs available for another month. Maybe that's why?

The chicken groups in my area are SUPER vague. The posts are always something like "Here's my barred rock trio, pm for more info."
You have to be creative about it and only post in your local chicken groups as a discussion, not a sale item. Usually naming the breed with a picture of the chicks or eggs and "message me for details" so you aren't breaking any of facebook's stupid new rules. Some people are extremely clever with their wording like, "Buff Orpington Alarm Clock looking for new ladies to love." or "Shells containing possible fluffy butts for your incubator." I've seen it all. lol
That's just too much trouble. Lol. Saying an egg is a live animal is a stretch anyway. I'll just stick to craigslist and maybe ebay.

I hope they start soon. It's warm here so maybe something will happen soon.

My bantam polish is 8ish months old. She just started laying the past month. Im not sure if they take longer to lay but mine did

What kind of hatching eggs are you selling??? Inquiring minds would like to know...especially since this inquiring mind is only a few hours away. :lau
I was trying to see if there was any interest in the mule duck eggs. I haven't seen any online for sale and since my guys are being pretty successful in their breeding, I thought I'd try to sell some. Only 1 bantam is currently laying and I only have 1 full sized hen after preditors, hence me hatching a bunch of eggs. I need to build up my chicken flock again.
