Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

So i locked them down today—- day 25. I have a pip externally already! Only on one egg tho. I only can get humidity up to 59% in the brinsea mini. I was going to add more sponges tonight after adding initial ones. Kind of worried. Im afraid to open it and shrink the duck. Advice? 😱
I'd leave it and wait till you have external pips. When they start externally pipping, the humidity will raise by itself.

So loooooong rough day on the hatch front. This little one pipped around 10 hrs ago and then stopped for a couple hours. Started to zip and I saw a tiny drip of blood but since it seemed to be active I sat firmly on my hands and prayed it didn't bleed out. Then the zip stopped.....for a couple hours. I finally peeled back a tiny bit by the air cell and saw a dry membrane but chick still clearly breathing. Kept slowly peeling back and not a lot of blood seen and no more veins. It finally rolled out of the hole I had made and there was no yolk sac so I got a bit hopeful. But in the last 30 minutes it isn't moving a lot other than to breath and I've never seen it open that membrane over its eyes. Any advice or is it a goner? [btw, nada from the last two eggs. Leaving them in until tomorrow just in case but thinking I may be looking a solo chick hatch :hit]

I'd give it some time to rest then try to get it done electrolytes. You can get nutri drench or grab clear Pedialyte. It'll boost it a bit.

I don't know what to say about this one. :( I'm sorry. I hope he's ok. I do see some dried blood on him. If he pipped through a blood vessel while trying to hatch he may just be extra tired from blood loss. :fl

Do you have a picture of the egg it came out of (the inside/membrane)? I've had chicks lose some blood cuz they hit a vessel, be a little sleepy, but then be ok. I've also had one that died after a massive bleed. The difference was the amount of blood.
