Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

I got 6 chicks so far... 5 to go... 3 are pipped...

d one of the pipped ones is making progress as well.

Looks fine to me... I can't tell if it is tall enough... I've had some really sporty smart one doing some crazy things. Like somehow manage to make it out of an upsidedown cage and sit on top.

It's pretty tall, almost the height of the inside of the incubator. I may have to do something about the end of the straight piece though, I can see sneaky chicks moving it and sneaking into the other side

Yes, they shouldn't be able to move it... maybe tape? Or something heavy enough on both sides to keep it from moving.

I used small wooden blocks (two on each side), hopefully that works

woke up this morning to 8 hatched and fluffed up. only 5 more to go and today is day 21

I have one that piped on the wrong end with appears to be yolk on the shell, or it could be some of the yolk sack from the one that hatched, it's been playing bumper cars with the other eggs

It's probably egg waste if it has a greenish cast to it.

Today is day 23 for my silkies. I have 3 eggs left that don’t appear to be doing anything? What should I do? I’m comfortable, relatively so, with assisting after Coco the other night. I really want this incubator freed for the EHAL but if I should leave these alone, I will. Thoughts, suggestion, advice...

Since you're fairly comfortable with assisting and it's already so late I would carefully open the air cells as if it were an assist to see if the chicks have passed.
