Would it be to cold to hatch chicks with a broody hen right now? We are in central Alabama. Thanks!

As long as she's inside where it's relatively warm, it's perfectly fine. I just had a broody hatch out 5 chicks 3 weeks ago in our garage. It stays between 50 & 60°F in there, but I swear the chicks spent more time running around the kennel than sitting under mom!

Well, they will be outside in the broody coop which has no heater.

Mama knows what she's doing. I'm sure they'll be fine. Just make sure she's out of any wet weather.
ETA: Ever felt the heat under a broody hen's wings?
