To early for outside full time ?

Did you get them sexed or from a straight run bin?
I would say kind of from a run bin a guy I knew found someone that was selling a bunch from a farm and gave us 6 Tried the whole feather thing as well in three head missing feathers in the middle and the other three had straight curved feathers but clearly not sure if that actually works

Feather sexing can only be done at a day old and only on specific breeds that were bred for that trait.

😩😩 they all have pink combs coming in but the little one ! Ones a very light pink one is still small and yellow and the other three are turning bright pink/red

Thank you ! I’m new to the chicken owner ! So that helps out to know that as well was just kind of listing to my neighbor that has a bunch of chickens ! And that’s what she said /did but they were not a day old they have already had their feathers so thank you for the information we didn’t believe it either because the one that was the biggest she told us was a hen but we really didn’t believe that If they all turn out to be boys should we not keep them all then

That will depend on you. This is my first time owning chickens. I just got lucky and ended up with all pullets. I've read about people having a bunch of cockerels but I'm not sure how that works. You definitely dont want just 1 hen with all of those boys. And of course you wont get any eggs with only cockerels.

Oh of course one hen is not enough and that would be too many boys for her especially if the hen is the one we think it is she is the smallest out of all of them already 😩 It’s so hard to find places that know the gender but that is what we will have to find ! Definitely didn’t want any boys but one to be honest 😂 but then we figured well we might keep two if they got along since we raised them we don’t want to get rid of them to be eaten ! We Would want them to go to a home that’s nice but no one wants boys unless to eat

Many people will take a kind rooster. Just have to find them. If you want a fool proof way then I would go with a sexlinked breed. Still a chance of a rooster but way less likley.

Thank you so much that is something we will have to do ! To be positive ! We even tried to go to tractor supply but they said for once they were actually only selling meat chickens it’s OK my chickens have already startled me when they decided to look like they were having seizures in the crate but I realized they were just giving themselves a dust bath first time for everything ! Definitely learning as much as I can !
