Can chickens eat sweet feed? We aquired a rather large bag and no, we do not have horses. Our girls will be 9 weeks old and seem to be doing just fine. They are on non-medicated chick starter, grit and different treats each day. They love raisins, bananas, oatmeal(dry), stale bread, yogurt, grass weeds etc. I hate to have this bag go to waste. Any thoughts?:/

They can eat it. It isn't formulated for chickens, but it is near. Some say the molasses give the chickens diarrhea. I would wait till they are full grown and then use it as part of their diet.

Thanks. I will just mix a bit of it in with their feed when they get older then. Wasn't sure about molasses, but I figured if they eat fruit which is mostly sugar, this shouldn't be too bad for them.
