What a heart breaking thing to happen. I am a parent and still can not begin to imagine what it would be like to lose my son. I am so very sorry for her loss and will keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow, this is so profoundly saddening... What an absolute tragedy. I can't even imagine the pain of losing a child, especially as a non-parent myself. I will be keeping her and her family in my thoughts and hoping the best for them.

Gretchen asked me to post the following:

Some of you may already know this, and some do not. My 22-year-old son, Beau,
was stabbed and killed this past Saturday, May 1, 2010. It was a horrific event
and our family is struggling to get through our pain. We will be holding an "At
Rest" ceremony at our farm in So. Md at noon on Monday, May 10, 2010. It would
mean a lot to us if you could take a minute of silence or prayers at that time
for my son and our family. Thank you for being a part of our life.
