To help or not to help?

Yes, mine do that quite often, I actually thought it was normal! They especially do it when their tired. You can just help him back over, as long as she is active and or talking and sleeping all is well.

Ok! She was just going nuts trying to stand up and kept falling on her back, but she is calmed down some.....she keeps peeping and peeping. Her eyes still aren't open tho.

We had this little chick that we had to assist . She was later than the rest and she didn't open her eyes for a while either. But a few hours later they were open and then in a few more hours she was stumbling around. She was sooo little we didn't think she would make it, but with help she was walking the next day and is the friendliest chicken we have today, she is a couple years old now. Just give her emotional support, sounds funny but you are the mother!, and I think she will open them. Remember though if for some unexpected reason she does not make it, it's not your fault and it does happen sometimes.

She keeps falling on her back! Anyone ever had one do that? I've never seen one do it...is something wrong?
I have had a baby turkey that was stuck in a wall fall back all the time but now he/she is fine, he is still only 2 weeks old that is why i dont know the gender. I am very happy that she got out on her own and i agree with Megan Amber, if for some unknown reason she does not make it it is not your fault but if she does make it you are the one that saved her. Post some more pics please. Chicks are so cute...

Took baby out of the bator this morning and put her with the other 8. Her neck seems to be twisted like it was in th egg! This makes it hard for her to stand uo. Do u think it ill fix itself? I wonder if she was in the egg like that to long. She hasn't been hatch a full 24 hrs yet.

Oh, i have never had that happen before, i think she will be fine though... Good luck and dont worry to much.

Yes she should straighten it just fine, but it might take a few days actually. It'll help if you exercise her neck with your finger, helping her lift her head and stuff.
