To many for the space I have

I have 15 hens, all brown egg layers. I need to find homes for 5 of them. They are picking at eachother in the space they are in. I can't expand it so I have to downsize so every one will be happy. They are almost a year old. They are from Mcmurray hatchery. I live in southern CA near Los Angeles. Please pm me if you can help. I would really appreciate it. I love these girls but want them to be happy and healthy and go to a good home.

You might try posting this as a classified in the Buy/Sell/Trade section, or look for a California thread in the Where am I? Where are you? section. I believe there are two CA threads - one for north and one for south. Pop in, introduce yourself and you may find people local to you who are very interested.

Post ads on craigslist and at your feed store. Lots of folks want laying hens.

Edited to add--good on you for being willing to get rid of some for the better of your flock! It's soooo frustrating to see folks post on here about issues related to overcrowding over and over--it's really easy to fix, but most of them are unwilling to part with any birds, or provide adequate space. Thank you.
