To roast or not

I have a bunch of squash in the root cellar that we grew specifically to feed to the chickens through the winter. They love their squash raw! Especially spaghetti squash. I split the squash in half and they clean them out until little empty squash bowls (the rind portion) are left. After a day or 2 they will start eating those also.
Leftover pumpkin puree from baking pumpkins for pie was a hit also.
