Ugh, I'm exhausted. Had to help my daughter get two chickens ready to be shown tomorrow....that took about three hours and I have to say it is HARD work (this is our first time showing). Then one of my other chickens laid her first egg...well, it wasn't pretty. She had prolapse, poor girl. So, I came on here and searched. Put her in warm soapy water to clean her up. Put honey on her and tried to push it back it. It wouldn't stay in. So, I searched some more on here and decided to try preparation H. That actually seems to have helped! She is still pushing her bum in and out still, but it seems like it is staying in. She is eating, drinking, walking around like she is fine.

Oh, and in the middle of all this, I decide it is way too nice out not to let my younger chicks out for the day. So, I go and make them a separate/safe area in the run and carry them out there and set them up. By the way, I hurt my foot last week and can barely walk. Yes, it has been a fun day consisting of nothing but chickens!!! I think I need a rest from all the chicken stuff. Oh wait, I'm going to a CHICKEN SHOW tomorrow, so I guess that idea is out. Haha. Okay, had to vent been dealing with this stuff since 9:00 a.m and it is now 6:30 and I've finally just sat down.

With chickens its seems like things are either really bad or really good! I'm rooting for your little hen!

And good luck at the show!!

Thanks everyone! I forgot that I also put ivermectin pour-on on all my silkies outside because they have been broody and a few of them have scaley leg mites and I read this helps. Geez, I did so much I forgot stuff.
