so sorry for your loss, I lost one of bantams this last winter, she was the only one that laid a green egg I still miss her.... give your other chickens extra hugs today and know that at least you had a chance to know and love a great chicken.... it seems we lose them all to quickly and sometimes for no reason it seems sending positive thoughts and prayers your way..here is some extra
Sorry for your lose. I had a white hen that was so nice. She followed me everywhere and she would let me walk right up to her and pick her up. One day I came home to find her hit by a car. We live on a road that five people travel down in one day. And she was hit on the side of the road. It looked like some jerk swerved to hit her. Mean people suck!!!
Thanks everyone for all the nice comments and compliments. She was so very special to me. I got her burried the night she died and put her where they love to scratch around. It is so hard because it is unknown how she died. Now something is wrong with my EE. I am starting to wonder maybe these new chicks I got have something and have given it to them.... I miss her terribly the roost is not the same with only 3 girls instead of 4. She was the boss and I don't know who the new boss will be. Her sister doesn't seem like the boss type but my now sick EE was the one I was thinking to be top hen now....
