Today is TRIPLE Hatch day !

My biggest problem is that I have 8 incubators. An old drum Humidaire 50, 2 Roll-X, 2 cabinet(GQF & Dickey) and 3 Hova-bators...and I still run low in bator space at times.

I have the same problem. NO space at times...but of course it looks like my A and Ms are back from their vacation...can't they ring a bell when they are back or something????

That would be fantastic if they would do that..

Another up-date on the hatch...have 4 more out(1 a&m, 3 snowflake)

So here is the breakdown...
57 out of 240 a&m

79 out of 100 jumbo bobs

21 out of 32 snowflake bobs(helped one out a bit, but what they hay!! give the little fuzzy a chance)

I got the trays all cleaned out this afternoon and here is the final count:


60 out of 240 a&m

80 out of 100 jumbo bobs

21 out of 32 snowflake bobs

I separated the fuzzybutts into 2 tubs, and put new floor in tub #1. I have the tubs side byside and I can hear them, they are just calling back and forth to each other...LOL

I have to get some more tubs and be ready for the next round this Sunday...it maybe massive.

Oh, at what age can you put them on 1/2 inch mesh ?

I forgot the age I put my bobs on wire but I believe it was 10 weeks

For coturnix I moved them at 5 weeks to wire.

You can put your chicks on wire on day 2 if you use the rubber shelfliner that WALMART carries. The shelf liner works great and when it gets dirty just hose it clean let it dry and use it again. It"s a lot easier that scraping the mess off wood
