Mine are 24 weeks old and still no pretty colored eggs. I was excited when I got my first brown egg but nothing like I will be when that first colored egg appears.

I've been comparing about when MY OWN chickens will start laying. I have an EE too. It seems they lay the latest of them all. I don't know when my EE's were hatched exactly. Just sometime in March.

She just started to squat when I grab her about 3-4 days ago. My BA squatted 2 weeks before I got an egg. Now I've gotten 3 eggs. But she's the only one.

Hope this helps you. I'll be waiting with you.

i want ee's . last night when i went on line to check them out . one site said they are the last to lay of all breeds can take up to 27 weeks or more.. ugh.. that is a long time.

I would say they start to lay at 24-26 weeks. They will continue to lay after your production birds have stopped.
