today my rooster became a football...... oops...

lucky you, i seem to fight my barred cochin daily now, but his hens do seem to make quite a scene..... its their fault

Our huge BR did that to me once - pinned me in a corner so I just kept kicking (more like lifting/pushing him really) but he just kept coming back for more. After 10 times he didn't get the hint, and DBF walked over and picked him right up. That doggone bird HATES me. He's not allowed out when I'm over anymore.

our RIR roo "slim" is actin up too he actually took some skin of my husbands finger yesterday & charged me today, i stuck my foot up & he backed down enough to whre i could get out of the coop.

So our roo not only "attacked" my girlfriend and got a stick up his A$%, but then he got in the house while I was trying to help DH get the dish right, talk about a punt!! Oh, he has 19 girls and no one was messing with them, just that time of year I geuss!

my rooster starting coming at me over and over and on 1 occation I swung a stick at him, not a big or heavy stick but a stick just the same, once he got it on top his head now he avoids me if I carry that stick.

hahaa! i never knew we had so many good rooster fighters here on BYC. How do we put up with them???? Ooooooo because they help make cute little fluffy bottoms.... hmm.... buttheads

I had a roo come after me a couple weeks ago. I gave him away. Couldn't see putting myself in a physical fight with a bird. He was just doing what comes natural so I naturally got rid of him. I won't have a rooster again.

I have several very nice Orpington roosters that have never once given me a cause for concern. Last week, a half grown Welsummer cockerel that was living here just because he was pretty decided to go after my two year old. He was on served for dinner the same day. There are too many nice roosters around to put up with a mean one.

My BO roo hates my DH fishing buddy. When he comes over, rooster booster sneaks up real quick and will hit him in the chest or back. My DH gave him a launch or two that didn't help so he ended up with a swift kick in the throat (not intentional) and DH thought he killed him. Nope, flopped back up and hasn't messed with him since.
