Our Buff Orpington Buttercup was affectionatly dubbed "Butterdud" after nearly reaching 7 months! She's the biggest chicken we have, and she lays the smallest eggs! Go figure!

That makes me laugh every time I read it!

6/7 today. What's the average for a Polish? How many eggs can I expect a week? Right now she's only 1 every 2 or 3 days, but she just started laying, so not sure what to expect.

Another 1/10 egg count. Looks like our White Leghorn wasn't bothered by the move at all...she's been laying from the first day we've had our flock. I can't wait until the rest start laying as well.
