Those sure look like happy chickens! Mine are envious of all that grass in the run. They wiped all theirs out in short order.

yeah by the sounds of your posts about the rooster and the hens combs etc it sounds like we are in about the same position now...we can make it a race to see who gets the first egg!

my RIR, RIW, and barred rocks will be EITHER 18 or 19 weeks on Monday...i cant remember the exact date i got em. I think they came in the last week of April. My younger ones are 4 weeks younger. I also have the ducks which are supposed to start laying sometime soon.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA i just checked the nesting boxes and egg # 1 is here! Its a little brown egg..its still warm...my son is going to eat it with his bacon this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO yeah baby!
