Yesterday was rainy and high of 47 degrees. Today it's 20 degrees and snowing like CRAZY! I got 3 eggs from my 13 hens so far today, and yesterday I got 8 eggs.

We have 6 hens and 10 pullets that might be just starting to lay. Yesterday high was in the mid 40s and we got 8 eggs.

Yesterday was about 65-67 and we collected 7 eggs from 13 hens- 4 of them are right at the age where they should start laying any day now....then there are 5 that should start up at the beginning of summer so weare expecting 13-18 eggs daily when they are all happy....

This morning, I collected 3 eggs from my girls. 2 are hen eggs and one is a larger pullet egg. my girls are growing up so fast. cant wait for my youngins that Im keeping to start laying

Went home for lunch and collected 11/17. 25 lo last night 52 expected hi for today. Pretty sunshine today. The chickens like it, but so do the hawks so no free range without supervision.

This week with 3 laying hens: When our EE and BA aren't molting they are laying...every day! Such wonderful girls!
Our Salmon Fav is wonderful too but she's an every other day layer usually. Can't wait to see how our new girls perform! Added 10 hens to our flock this year...all approx 11 weeks old at the moment!

-6 F today. With wind. Felt nastier than last week. But chooks in the coop today. Heat lamp pulled out again today as it will be -24 tonight and into morning.

1 small brown egg that looks new to the batch (I think the Buff Orpington joined the party now)-- but didn't see who it was. Gotta be her though.
