Today's temperature = # of eggs.

76F and 6 eggs. 2 Duck eggs ( KC's) 2 from my Red-sex link and 2 from my leg horns.

I now know why one of my leghorns have be crabby today. Look at the egg she jsut laid! Her usual egg size is on the left, usually 1.5 ounces. This one was 2.2 ounces!

Wow that's a big leghorn egg! Mine are all laying great I live in south Mississippi, and it's really hot here. I'm getting 9 to 14 eggs a day. Have new pullets that should start laying in month or so. Finally got rid of my leghorn rooster, gave him to our pastor. Had too many roosters. You can't give a rooster away here. No one wants them. Hope everyone has great week. God less

We have had a nice break with some rain storms the last few days and have been under 100 but the girls still say it is too humid to work too hard. Got 4/12 yesterday and today. We do have a few that have decideed it is so hot they will just molt instead so that accounts for some of the laziness! We will let them slide.

It's been hot & humid here...I get songs, but no eggs. I've been leaving my girls in the coop to try to make sure they aren't laying elsewhere. It's popping new gray in my hair everywhere!
