Mid to upper 40 s today and misting rain showers, 5 /11 hens. I don't honk the temp affects my girls at all.
Lots of rain and a wind advisory until late tomorrow so we will see how they fare thru this. Our weather is all over the place!

Today was warm , 54F, rainy, and the rain continues this night, hens produced a good count of 10 eggs out of 11 layers. Mixed flock, Buff Orphingtons, Speckled Sussex, RI Reds, Partridge Rocks, and Jersey Giants, these young ladies are still new at the trade, they just started laying a week before Christmas, I am still amazed everyday by the productivity, most other local flocks have dropped off laying. All the chicks were hatched 3rd week of June, McMurray hatchery, robust chicks, my only losses were from hawks, and one murderous chipmunk. Still in all a wonderful talkative, happy mess of fine birds.
