if you are using a turner ya could stop turning a 1/2 day to a day early and maybe hand turn if there is no pips but if hand turning want be a problem at all

Actually, you should have stopped turning the quail eggs on day 14.

Kullas is right, if you use an auto turner, then you should turn it off and take it out, or you are in for a heartbreak.

If you took the turner out on day 14, and/or are hand turning, you should be fine.
If your bator temp is optimal, then the bulk of your coturnix should hatch before day 21. (They are very flaky on their hatch dates, but usually pop out before day 21.). At least for me.
Any un-piped quail eggs around day 20 should be chucked as duds.
If you do have any unhatched quail eggs that show any proof of life about the time your chicken chicks are hatching, then just keep a close eye on the bator.
Be ready to extract any distressed chick.

Final number are in!!! I ended up with 51 Jumbo Browns and 42 Texas A & Ms. Boy those guys are hard to count!!! LOL.... Here is a picture of some of them...
