Toddlers are Quackers

"Today is a super special day! Your aunt is having her baby today!" "A BABY?!? Yum yum!" He assured me he knew what he was saying and that babies are delicious.

Got pecked in the eye by my favorite hen (she got about 1/4 of the area over my iris. Doctor's diagnosis, with drawing of eye and injury: "So... yep. A chicken ate part of your eye. Your cornea there is just... gone. Well, the first few layers.") No longer painful - unless one of the kids thwacks it.

I love the bedding, MC!
Oh my I can't even imagine how much that must have hurt.
so will this affect your vision? I'm so sorry wishing a seedy recovery.

Good Morning, Abi :hugs

MC - I am amused, too. WAY more wary of the chickens, but... a chicken ate part of my eye.

It was on par with early labor (and active labor with the drops). Vision in that eye is getting better (was about 40/20 the first day). I can't read standard print at the moment, but the doctor says it should steadily improve - if I don't rub it and slough off the fresh skin.

what a day and now you will have a story to tell that people will question did that really happen.

My younger kid hasn't pooped since Saturday (I thought it was Wednesday, but my husband dealt with her poop while I was hopping around trying not to scream after putting antibiotics in my eye.) Tried limiting trigger foods (namely cheese), increasing fruits/veggies/whole grains, having her drink apple juice, probiotics... nothing worked. So I tried a laxative for her yesterday. She farted. A lot. And didn't sleep until dawn. But no poop. And my son gets up just after dawn. She woke up at 8. So my morning has mostly been a combination of slap-happy weirdness and screaming.

Made appointment with pediatrician just now.

So tired.
