Toddlers are Quackers

Speaking of which, we made it through another night out. I did better. No pain! :clap
I let her have a drink before bed. I knew what would happen, but she was thirsry, and it really didn't matter enough. I hosed the bedding, and it's on the line.

Of my six siblings, none have blue eyes. My mother does, but they stay blue. Mine turn grey, green, occasionally violet and shades of blue.
Duckling has blue genetics, but no ones change colors like hers... and mine. I have no idea how it happens, but our eyes are always the same shade. She often will look into my eyes to see what color hers are. I have been going through recent pictures of us, and it is really thrilling to see how our eyes are the same. I’ve never had a full term baby. This coincidence is a very special thing for me.

Wow, that is truly amazing! I had 2 miscarriages. I often wonder what might have been.

As the daughter (sister, cousin, niece, and friend) of ministers, I’m obviously familiar with Bible School. What I’m not familiar with is Bible School from 7-9 PM. Even for the teens, I don’t think it’s logical. But for a certain 3-year-old, I’m not a fan at all.
Do you guys think that it’s okay for Bible School to be held after 7 PM?

In other news, while Duckling is next door this week (this is my first Fathers Day without her), her hamster died. I am not sure why I’m upset about a hamster, but I can’t stop dreaming of her.
:D I emptied a Swiffer dry cloth box to bury her in. She’s under the plum tree. I’ll let Duckling make a grave marker if she wants.
Had duckling been here, I’m half afraid she would have wanted to dissect the poor hamster!

Crazy, some kids go to bed soon after!

I’m not sure about you guys, but I honestly don’t know of any children under the age of six that go to bed at nine. Duckling is dead asleep between 8-8:30 most nights. If she’s not napped, she’s asleep as early as 7:30.
My grandkids all 4 go to bed at 9pm! Even the 3 year old! I think they don't get outside enough.

I remember going to bed at nine when I was six. Until we were 9 1/2, that is when they went to bed. At 9 1/2 we went to bed at 9:30, and 10 you could stay up until 10. Of course, back then schools didn’t start so early in the morning!! I was stunned when people around here told me they sent their children to bed so soon. They didn’t tell me how early their children had to go to school! :th
