Toddlers are Quackers

I put a tent back on her bed. She was happy... for a minute. I think she was afraid of falling asleep if she played in it. All of a sudden, she jumped out, and said, “ anyway!” Then rushed downstairs.

While sitting in one of the puddles, she stood up, and went to run. She fell pretty hard, and didn’t know how to react. Expecting to see blood and scrapes filled with gravel, I kept my voice calm. No need to make her panic before letting her know that I would have to do minor surgery that would hurt like mad!
Instead, there was no blood and I didn’t see cuts. I gave her a hug, told her to cry if she needed to, but that she was going to be okay in a few minutes. Of course I also emphasized, and said I was sorry she was hurting.
Fast forward after she showered. I still did not see anything to worry about. That in itself is very strange, but I’m guessing that she was just a little pink from her shower so I didn’t see the gravel. It was not until after she took her nap that she said she had marks on her one knee. Sure enough, there were flecks of gravel. The peroxide didn’t even bubble (it did the other day, so I’m sure it’s fine). I apologized, held back my own tears, and gently started scraping with my finger nail. She obviously complained, but was pretty good about it. I told her to scream as loud as she wanted to. I know it could not have felt that great. However, she only shed a few tears as I removed all of the gravel. :clap:clap:clap
