Kiki I have a 'thing' for pallets too! They're so versatile & I'm always wishing I could take the ones outside of the stores, but I don't. Where do you find them for free?
Quote: O.K. The point I was making is that the pallets I found, while they're a continuous source, are 12-15 miles from here; not worth the time & gas to go after, load, & unload unless you can haul enough to make the trip worthwhile. On the other hand, if you keep your eyes open while you're out running around, you might pick up a few here & there that businesses have set out along the road for anyone who wants them. It's a hit & miss proposition that way, but over time you should have enough to do something with.
Quote: If you're talking a regular bumper-pull 2 horse trailer, thoroughbred height, probably 2-3 dozen if they're stacked right; more if you're talking gooseneck.
bumper pull stock, removable divider, i'd say large QH, i wouldn't load anything over 15.2If you're talking a regular bumper-pull 2 horse trailer, thoroughbred height, probably 2-3 dozen if they're stacked right; more if you're talking gooseneck.
Quote: If the pallets were of such a size that one would fit in a single stall, against the tack area wall, you might be better off leaving the divider in if there was room, particularly if it was a full divider, going all the way to the floor, to keep them from shifting. Stacked that way, you might fit 2-3 doz. per stall, plus however many you could lay down on top if the trailer had half doors above the ramp / stall doors. Even if it didn't, you could run ropes from the D rings on the side to the door handles, if the D rings were mounted high enough.
