Toddlers are Quackers

No, I smacked them around a little bit, and they've been more respectful since then.

I've also learned to put the food on the ground. I just liked seeing them jump up for the mealworms, it was amusing. But I suppose a 40lbs turkey flying at your face for a treat, or a hug, wouldn't be so funny. I need to remember they won't stay little.
Morning. Yea turkeys have a tendency to grow pretty big :p

I catch my Big Red Tom regularly for molesting. Keeps him humbled. And I like watching him change color when I rub his head in just the right way, it seems that it gets rather itchy. They gulp air, so whenever I catch him and give him a little squeeze when I move him around or whatever, he burps air like a leaky valve. Never ceases to amuse me.

They really are the nicest birds. Not super bright, but sweet. I can pick them up and hug/talk to them and they just relax and look at me. They make these high pitched chirpy noises when they want my attention... and they don't run away from me when I try to pick them up like the baby chickens do.

Even my single hatchling, lucky, I was his only companion for a week or so, and he still runs when I go to pick him up. LOL

Then again, the ducks like me, and let me pet them, but they really, really hate being held.

Yea I've heard that if socialized when little turkeys and ducks will follow you around like a dog. None of mine ever have though.
