I think anyone that gets any kind of poop on their hands is very aware of what they touch immediately after.

I had no idea earthworms were bad for chickens?

Oh, I am aware hours later. Though not everyone even thinks about it immediately.
To get people to understand that they do not have the right to touch my screen door, I smothered the handle in honey. They did not even notice.

Snakes and worms are okay, mice are cute when they are not in my coop, but never, ever show me a spider. *Shudder*

thanks, sounds like gapeworm is the parasite to worry about.......but minimal chance as long as you don't overload the chickens with earthworms.

pretty much, and where the birds are eating the worms from, just stuff to keep an eye on really but the earth worms can carry other stuff too

where is @Akrnaf2 when we need him.....

@KikisGirls I didn't mean to scare you about worms. Birds eat them all the time. It's like a baby learning to walk. Falling happens. You just have to watch for obstacles, and treat bumps and bruises.
Worm your chickens once or twice a year, and watch for signs of trouble.
