Toddlers are Quackers

Do any of you call your kids bad? I'm honestly curious. I believe there are no bad children. Just bad parents.
We must learn to walk. If we fall, are we bad?
We tell our husbands to put the seat down. Is he bad if he forgets?
Granted, children need correction. Yes, I believe some need an occasional swat on the bottom. But I'd never tell a child they were bad.
Why? Because I believe it is the very same thing as saying unlovable. That is MY opinion. If you don't agree, I'd honestly be interested in understanding your view. It won't be turned into ten million "but what about???" posts. A few maybe. But as I said on page one, we're all different.

I might call the action bad, but not the child.

I appreciate the support.
I have to say, she's been dry since she arrived. She almost peed fifteen minutes ago. I asked if she had to go. Is she suuuuure?
Thirty seconds later, she had a close call. One thing is making me wonder. In the past week, if she says no, then runs in a few seconds later, she poops. If she says no, but doesn't run in, she just pees herself (did you follow that?). I'm thinking that it's only her desire to poop in the toilet that keeps her from peeing herself. I could be wrong. Might be a coincidence.
i dont ask if she needs to go potty, i tell her its time to try
i learned that if given a question they will likely say no, but if told to try they will usually do it
started with before we went outside, before we went in the car
and now she is trained that she does it herself

i used to tell her she was behaving badly, it has turned into 'you are being bad' but thats not saying shes a bad kid more like what bantam said that the behavior is bad

Having to ask if she has to go is a new thing. I honestly haven't had to ask in forever! I do require she try before bed or going out. :D I will teach her to squat outside next summer.

lol, my munchkin LOVES going outside
though we have a different way of doing because of too many incidents with clothes and shoes being in the way

:pop What's the different way?
we have a couple different ways,
1 - she drops her draws and i put her feet up on something high (boulder, tree, stump) then i hold her like i am giving her the heimlich so her feet are out in front of her and no chance of peeing in/on them ETA sometimes she hold he knees too far apart and still pees 'up' and not down, lol
2 - 'wall sit' with her back against a tree/wall
3 - find a rock/log hang her butt off the back so that it blocks the pee from hitting her feet

Probably a long shot. . but you might ask her if it hurts when she goes. . it could be she is avoiding going if she has a bladder or or uti infection. Wouldn't be impossible if she is used to going whenever she needs to and is now holding it cause of school.. And possibly not drinking as much as normally would.
My girl was just prone to getting uti and had to stop letting her have baths.

UTI's are so common, I have a test kit. I did ask if it hurt, but she always says no. Even when she had one.
Honestly, she's only had one in the past... six months I think. I warned her parents to take her to the doctor or else. They denied her having one, but it was suddenly gone.
