Toddlers are Quackers

:lau Anyone else ever get crazy excited to give their child a gift?
I’m totally losing my mind waiting for Christmas!
I’m trying to be patient about the swing, but that’s at least a gift she can have now. It’s easier to wait.

:love It's my favorite part of Christmas - anticipation over making other people happy.

Both kids home, after 4 days of essentially being only children. They fought until my son passed out from exhaustion. Husband asked how my day went, and I hid under a pillow.

My son has also requested "a thousand kisses a day", and requests them in hundred-kiss doses. (He's at more like 500 kisses a day.) So, you know, they keep it balanced.

The guy with the swing messaged. He’s checking tomorrow to see if it’s frozen to the ground. It sounds like it’s not going to be brought in a million pieces! :yesss::fl
I can’t wait! I just wish I could decide where to put it. Logic says to put it behind the tire swing, but not centered. That way I can add other equipment later without rearranging. I’m sorry if it’s shocking, but I don’t plan on adding anything for shock absorption. That is what grass is for.

The red line is where I think it should go. There is a small hill right behind the line, keeping me from moving the swing back. However, I’m pretty sure there is plenty of room for both the tire swing and regular swing to be in use, and someone to walk between them.
I would love to put up a wooden fence to keep animals and people out. Sturgis doesn’t go there very often, but there’s a few large dogs, and a lot of cats that are always making messes there. It would also mean that I can have a sandbox that doesn’t need to be covered the second it’s not in use.

I hate to break your bubble but cats jumped over our 6 foot stockade fence every day because they liked my fish pond.
