CONGRATS!!! I'm very jealous I must say........ someday I will have Tolbunts...... do you ever sell roosters (or eggs)? We have Gold Lace hens, and I know no one ever comes off Tolbunt hens
We did a sussex/ Ploish cross this yr thinking maybe in a few years we would have "Tolbunt looking" Polish...... but after reading this thread..... well- I'm thinking it would be easier to get a few Tolbunt Roos (and cheaper in the long run)
Believe it or not..These are my husbands eggs! Yes, My DH has finally gotten his own breed. This is his first very own breed of his own-his project with his friend. A great friend of his has them-His friend asked him to join in the quest and of course my DH obliged without hesitation. That was 6 months ago-He's been reading and researching since. now that his friends birds are producing and they have gotten chicks it was time for My DH to start too. Dh already has the coop and run ready-the eggs aren't even hatched yet! haha He's already been pug nosed to the bator 24 hours in! I have no eggs to sell or birds to sell
I'm sorry
I hope he has great hatch!! I would be doing the same thing at the incubater to be honest.... and sweating it out at 1st candling!! He's lucky to have someone close with them & to get to have a flock soon!!
Let him know if he ever has roos available- I'm interested!!
