Well, I'm happy but a little disappointed. I bought frizzled Tolbunt/GL polish eggs last month on BYC. I said if I just got one I would be happy. Seven eggs sent, two duds. One started seeping the day before hatching. UGH. Double bagged that one. Got two adorable healthy females yesterday. The last two died after pipping started. I left them for the recommended 24 hours. I helped the last one out, but it was so weak it did not make it. I'm thinkin this is why there are no more Tolbunt chickens around than there are. A friend has plenty of gold laced polish, so hopefully will be able to mainain color. Definitely happy with the eggs - 5 out of 7 were fertile and made it almost to the end. I had been looking for frizzled polish - have been using a frizzled cochin roo. The possibility of getting the color is an added bonus.
