Have.
How long do broadbrested usually live?Well those boys are tricolor pencil palms that have been around for sometime. There are a lot of good breeders developing new varieties far before I will be able to. My initial goal is to replicate Franz lehner of Austria's pencilled blue fallfire line. So far as I know no one in the USA has them yet. I'll find a pic to post. Most gorgeous bird I've ever seen. I dont think any heritage lives longer than others. Would depend on how well taken care of they are over anything I would think. I've heard of birds living to be 12-13 years old. Not broadbreast tho. They are prone to too many health issues.
I may be wrong but I believe that @casportpony once mentioned knowing of a person that had a BB hen live to 9 years old.Lol @Noellereagan. I thought the same thing as soon as I saw that bird. Most beautiful variety I've seen. That's why I'm going to make some next yearthe oldest I've ever heard of a broadbreast is 5. They are so prone to health issues and require great care to keep them for long. We lost our first broadbreast bronze hen at a year and a half due to heart failure. Her babies are all healthy and productive tho
