I bought my BBB turkey from the feed stroe as a poult in march, and I was wondering if it is a tom or hen. Is it old enough to tell? I have a side bet with my hubby.

Oh yea, I've seen it strut but it has never gobbled.

Also these are my three new babies. What would you call their colors?

Thanks for any help.

My pic is not the best. They are in temp. housing right now. The one on the left is more grey, and the one on the right is kinda chocolate in color. I can't wait till they grow up. I hope I have at least one hen.

If it is a tom I win the bet. And the dates on the camera are wrong I just noticed that. lol

first pic - Tom in

Second pic - first one to the left is a Narragansett, middle Bourbon Red and to the right from the pics appear to be a chocolate or a mix ??

Thanks for the responses. I think I just win this bet.

It's kind of hard to see but the chicken behind the (lets say) tom, is not a necked neck, but was attacked by a raccoon (it ripped all the skin off her neck). It took me two weeks to get her back to being able to eat on her own. Her name is now Lucky.

What was the bet??? You gotta tell "the rest of the story".

BTW I think it's a tom too.
