Tom turkey with injured leg

My tom turkey got his leg caught in a wire strand fence. No open injuries, but he can't stand on that leg. He moves it when I pick him up. Doesn't seem to have any obvious fractures, but I'm worried there might be a joint subluxation. Can I give him prednisone to treat any inflammation or swelling? If so I can't find any kind of dosing for a turkey. I want to give him a chance at recovery. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Turkeys are tough. If it was my turkey, I would make sure he is in a safe secure place where others cannot bother him and with food and water. Turkeys are tough and unless broad breasted, usually heal well. You can mix up a good vitamin B complex in his water at the rate of 1/2 pill or capsule per one gallon of water. Make it fresh daily.

Thank you. He is heritage breed Bourbon Red. Beautiful tom 2 years old. His girlfriend is sticking by his side. They are the only 2 turkeys I have. I was hoping she would hatch some eggs this year.
