If we're going by strict interpretations that is.

Since roosters can also lay (down) they can also be considered 'layers'. I guess.

I started last year in February so I'm still a rookie! You guys helped me with coop and aviary construction ideas and even helped me with a very successful incubator! My first trio were English Orpington Buffs, I've added 3 Leghorn and 3 Rhode Island Red pullets to the clutch.

Nice looking coop / run / brooder set up, good way of integrating them into the flock later on. And, since you started it, why do you keep your chickens in your purse?
