Tomorrow is day 21...

:)Ok, today is day 21, and I have three chicks from five eggs. The chicks look fine, still a little wet and clumsy.

I don't see any signs of life from the other two. When do I give up on them?

Two of the chicks that hatched are really special chicks from lovely deep blue eggs from Wheaten Ameraucanas. So I am very happy to have them.

One is from my chickens, and goodness knows what it will be. It came from a light green egg, so mama bird is Ameraucana, but I have a number of roos wandering around here, so who knows.

But I am THRILLED with the two from the lovely blue eggs.

I have 18 other eggs in the bater. They were shipped, and I put them in about five days later. I have been candling, and to tell the truth I don't have much hope for them, but they can stay in there down to the wire!

I would give those babies another few days. Even something as simple as an egg being a few days older will delay hatching...

.... don't give up yet!!

... are they "talkin'" to you?
