So tomorrow we are building the extension to our existing run. With our growing flock we need more room. We are building the extension to be 8 ft. Wide and 12 ft. Long so that will double their current space. I am replacing ALL the sod in the runs since they killed that a long time ago. I will update you guys with pictures and if you have any questions PLEASE do ask them!
Here's are coop currently, we are building the run on the back.

If only my hens paid the rent. We don't have cable but we do have fans and blinds for shade and decorations

Sounds like a great project. I wouldn't worry about replacing the sod in the current run. That sod and the sod in the new addition will soon look like it does now.
