I have a dilemma. My chicks are 5 weeks old today and were supposed to move out to their coop. It's around 75 degrees in the house where the brooder is and the temperature in the coop is just over 60, even with a heat lamp. Will it be too cool in the coop? They are getting pretty crowded in the brooder so I'm not sure how much longer I can keep them in there. Help!
Thanks!

Do you mean the hi/low forecast temps?

Yes. Because the temperature you've taken inside the coop so far is with the inclusion of a heat lamp. Ideally, you'd want to be able to move them out without supplementing heat.

I assume they've been completely off heat inside the brooder?

yes, the heat lamp has been off in the brooder. the coolest day here is next monday with highs in the mid 60's, low of upper 40's with the other days being in the 70's, nights in the 50's to low 60's.

Put them out. They'll be fine.
Give them a huddle box with thick bedding in it that they can all fit in. Aim the entrance to it away from any drafts.

My chicks(5wks) are out in the coop and we had night temps drop into the 20’s on their second night outside.
House temp was 67 and they were off the heat lamp for the past week they were in the house. I was worried it would be too cold. I put a heat lamp out for them but they slept on the other side of the coop no where near the lamp.
I guess they stay a lot warmer then I thought they would when they huddle up.
