With the nasty weather here recently, we have left the coop door open for ventilation. It’s been down in the 70s and humid at night.

Now, however, it’s going to fall into the upper 50s tonight.

Will they be okay with the coop door open, for at least one night at any rate?

They’re pullets, so not full grown. We were gifted them unexpectedly, so we didn’t do the early care. I would guess 7-8 weeks.

As long as it's secure, go nuts.
How much ventilation do you have?
Basically just the one door to the ramp, maybe 6x8 inches. Random cracks which will be addressed later in the season.

Their hasty bivouac mode when they’re outside.

It wasn’t that cold after all. But rainy.

I’m just a worrier. :p

They can easily handle that (and would probably appreciate the relief from heat) at 7-8 weeks old.

You're going to need to add more ventilation than a few cracks. A door counts as zero unless it's left open 24/7.
Newer versions of the coop have mesh vents in the eaves. I’ll have to modify somewhat.
For now we do leave the coop open 24/7 though.
