Too cold for baby chicks?

My chicks are 4 weeks and seem to not want to sleep under the brooder plates. We've raised them, but they seem to be choosing to huddle (uncomfortably) outside of the plates. The room ranges from 65-68. Do they not need the plates at this point?

That's correct, they've weaned themselves off the heat and don't need it anymore. :)

That's one of the great things about the plates to me -- the chicks know what heat they need and take care of adjusting things on their own.

I brood outdoors so I know I can move them out of the brooder when I see them sleeping away from the plate.
