We’ve got really bad storms expected from tomorrow afternoon onwards till Monday...

We are being warned of power cuts. Knowing my luck, we will loose power through the night and it’ll turn the incubators off

Suppose they do turn off, all I can do is turn them back on as soon as I realise and hope for the best!

Have a blanket ready and cover them if it does go out, it will help them to retain the temps longer. I was even prepared with a couple jugs of water that I was going to heat up if it started to look bad and I would put them under the blanket with the incubators to keep them warm longer. I have seen people that even filled their incubators with rocks because they retain heat longer, lol.

Well, it's good news/bad news here. I locked down my few polish eggs and heard a peep & some scratching. Then, I went to check on the 16 quail brabanconne chicks I received wednesday and two were dead under the brooder plate. I don't have any idea why, and every other one looks healthy.
