Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

Pics
For those wanting shipped eggs for different varieties. I have to say that this farm offers amazing blue and jubilee orps as hatching eggs and chicks. They are one of the few places I have seen that actually offers a egg replacement if they are damaged in shipping and a full batch replacement if you get a horrible hatch. Definitely worth it!!

Lots a Cluckin Farm
No drama but wanted to let you know There was just a bad egg review on the good egg, bad egg FB page on this breeder. Please research before purchasing.

What does the review say about the eggs? And is it only 1 review?
Good Egg, Bad Egg is a page on Facebook that people give good and bad experiences with breeders, with negative reviews there are supporting documents, conversation screen shots and pictures. I did not read all 300+ comments from the original post, however from what I gather she has scammed numerous people and has had other bad egg reviews in the past. I just wanted to let you know you should search there to research and form your own opinion. I do know that some people that were scammed stated they did negative reviews to her page and they were removed (I understand this is pretty easy to do, so I do not go by page reviews as they are not usually an accurate representation, negative reviews removed, people have friends and family do positive reviews ect ), because of this they did bad egg reviews there to warn people. If I'm looking to purchase I do search in the good egg and bad egg page for the sellers and/or farm name to see what information comes up.

Thanks for sharing that with everyone.

I think this is the reason why I just take eggs from my flock. I know that I'm not going to have issues with them.

I couldn't imagine buying eggs and either they don't show up or they don't hatch at all. You might as well just toss your money out the window.

There are breeds that I do want that I obviously can't get from my flock, but I try to buy in person because this world is full of scammers. It's sad.

I would love the link to this page for future reference!

I have had really good luck buying hatching eggs fortunately but I do primarily buy locally. Most of the time I'm able to see the breeding flocks in person this way as well. That doesn't mean I haven't gotten a handful of bad batches. I just keep a list of people with hatching eggs, what they have, how much they charge, and then my experience with them. When I have a bad experience I rarely use them again, but sometimes, just sometimes, I think it's innocent.

I so badly want to join in with the February hatch along but I’m still waiting for my new Male to do his job :th

He’s been with the ladies around 4 weeks now and yes, it’s still pretty soon to be getting fertile eggs especially with it being winter but I’m just impatient...I need babies! :gig

I’m still on the look out for the bullseye...

These were taken yesterday and are definitely infertile I can see that:

However, this one was taken today:

While it’s hard to see on the photos, I’m thinking out of the three I cracked today, this one has the bullseye. It was clearer to see in person and much bigger than the single white dots on the infertile eggs.

I’m holding out another week or so and I’ll continue to crack the eggs to check. Hopefully I’ll start cracking some more with the bullseye so I can join in with the February hatch!
